We made it! 2010!

Zoom in and fill the frame… for Pete’s sake

4 07 2009

I’ll keep this short and simple. Unless you’re shooting landscapes,  a very good tip to make your photos better is to zoom in and fill the frame. I took some photos recently and, now that I’m looking through them, I am realizing that I didn’t zoom in nearly enough.

Not only does failing to zoom in not allow you to see the neat little details, but it can also distract from what you want people to actually be looking at when they see your photo.

So, when you look through your next set of photos, ask yourself: “Do I like how this is framed?”, “Can I see everything I want to see?”, “Is the photo too busy?”, “Could I have composed it better?”.

Hopefully by asking yourself these questions you will be able to see areas in which to improve your photography. After all, who doesn’t want to take better pictures.

Happy Fourth of July Everyone!
